Mr. Bennett serves as President of Sage Payment Solutions. He was most recently
chief operating officer, and was president of Verus Card Services prior to the acquisition
of Verus Financial Management, Inc. by Sage Software in February 2006. Bob joined
the Sage Payment Solutions team in December of 2001. Under his guidance, the company
has enjoyed rapid, sustained growth, stable systems and strong partner relationships.
Prior to joining Verus, he was President of MIC, Inc. a leading systems integration
company based in Arlington, VA. Before MIC, Bennett was the founder and CEO of MicroFridge,
Inc., an Inc. 500 award-winning, business-to-business entity with primary markets
of College, Military, Hospitality and Senior living environments.
Bennett holds two US patents, received his Masters degree in Engineering from Northeastern
University and his Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of
Maine, Orono. In 1993, he completed the Harvard Business School OPM program.
Mr. Fadel serves as Chief Financial Officer of Sage Payment Solutions. He was most
recently Senior Vice President of Finance beginning July 2002. Prior to joining
Sage, Mr. Fadel was Chief Financial Officer of Network 1 Financial Corporation,
a provider of end-to-end payment solutions for e-commerce, retail, and wholesale
businesses.
Prior to joining Network 1, Mr. Fadel was the Chief Financial Officer of Genoyer
Group, Inc., the U.S. division of an international oil and gas trading company,
which was sold to The Carlyle Group in 1999. Mr. Fadel also served as a Controller
for United Media Corporation, a printing and graphics company that provides outsourced
services to large corporations, such as MCI and Sprint.
Mr. Fadel is a CPA, received his Masters degree in Business from Georgetown University
and his Bachelors degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Matt Clyne has served as Sage Payment Solutions’ Senior Vice President of Sales
since May 2006. Prior to joining Sage, Mr. Clyne was General Manager of U.S. Sales
for Optimal Payments, a provider of mainstream payment processing services. Prior
to joining Optimal Payments, Mr. Clyne held various positions at TeleCheck, a division
of First Data Corporation. Mr. Clyne was formerly a principal in an Independent
Sales Organization selling to small and medium sized merchants.
Mr. Clyne serves on the advisory board to the ISO and Agent trade publication and
has been published regularly in industry trade journals. He speaks frequently at
industry trade events. Mr. Clyne has a US patent pending for business processes
related to funds sufficiency verification for ACH transactions. He received an undergraduate
degree from the University of Massachusetts and received an Executive Masters of
Business Administration degree from Bauer College at the University of Houston in
2002.
Craig Shapero, Senior Vice President of Sales, has been with Sage Payment Solutions,
formerly Verus and NET1, since 1996. Prior to the acquisition of Verus Financial
Management by Sage Software, Craig was a founding executive in an Acquiring company
in Dallas, Texas. His experience includes the development of a national sales force,
and implementing company policies and procedures to ensure cost-effective and customer-friendly
service. Prior to his work in the electronic payment industry, Craig was a broker
with Paine Webber and an accountant with Halliburton Oil. Craig joined Sage Payment
Solutions with responsibilities for product development and channel distribution
and he helped develop and manage Sage Payment Solution's foray into e-commerce with
its’ EFTSecure and Gateway products. Craig manages a National Account initiative
to expand the Company's presence with large software and processing partners. Craig
received his BS in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
Prior to joining Sage Payment Solutions, John was a professional baseball player
with the Chicago White Sox. After a career ending injury, John began his business
career in mortgage banking. He then joined Sage Payment Solutions in 1991 in a sales
role. This eventually turned into an operations role as the business began to grow.
After several years, he became responsible for overseeing development of the company’s
crucial information technology infrastructure. Currently, John is the Senior Vice
President of Information Technology for Sage Payment Solutions, managing the company’s
Database, Security, Network, Telecom, and Software Development teams. John received
his BS in Sociology from Wake Forest University. John and his wife Maria have three
children.
Chris joined Sage Payment Solutions in February 2000. Prior to this position, she
managed an independent Bankcard sales office with a primary focus on Internet Electronic
Commerce solutions. Chris also brings a background in Telecommunications with 2
years as the Director of Agent Relations and 2 years as Director of Billing Operations.
At Sage Payment Solutions, Chris currently oversees all phases of the daily management
of our growing merchant portfolio including Customer Support, Sales Partner Support,
Underwriting, Risk Management, Project Management and Compliance and Quality Assurance
and Training. Chris has held several positions of escalating responsibility including
Relationship Manager from 2000 until 2001, Director of Client Services from 2002-2004,
Vice President of Client Services/Operations from 2004-2007, and Senior Vice President
Operations from 2007-present. During her 8 years at Sage, Chris has played a key
role in helping the company evolve into the industry leader that it is today.
Rick Camardo serves as the General Manager and Senior Vice President of the Financial
Institutions Group of Sage Payment Solutions. With over twenty-five years in the
credit card industry, Rick’s experiences have ranged from managing the merchant
services department of several of Society Bank’s (Key Bank) largest Ohio markets
to being owner and president of his own merchant services sales organizations, Retail
Systems Consulting and Community Card Services. In addition, Rick was a Vice President
at NOVA Information Systems, overseeing its national Community Bank sales channel.
Rick’s knowledge of pricing, product, and sales techniques has contributed to his
success and recognition by the industry, the banking community, and merchants as
a professional and valued business partner. Rick received his degree in Advertising
& Public Relations from Youngstown State University.
